This Sunday, he’s back with a brand new episode Louis Theroux: Mothers on the Edge which focuses on postpartum psychosis – a programme he says is his most emotional ever. With one in five new mums experiencing a mental health problem before their child’s first birthday in the UK, Louis reveals why he decided to focus on the sensitive subject – which included spending time in two psychiatric units, his own personal experience as a dad, and his reaction to being an unlikely sex symbol.
