Hunter Hayes was born on September 9, 1991, in Louisiana, and he’s an only child with parents who have Cajun, English, Scots-Irish, and German backgrounds. He was raised Catholic and grew up in singing both English and French. Hayes started his performance career at just 2 years old and by 4, he was appearing on TV shows like Maury, the Rosie O’Donnel Show, and Figure It Out on Nickelodeon, where he even performed « Jambalaya. » He received his first guitar from actor Robert Duvall when he was 6 and at 7, performed at the White House for President Bill Clinton. At 13, he was on America’s Most Talented Kids, singing « Hey Good Lookin’. » By age 9, Hunter had already released his first album « Through My Eyes » and followed it up with more albums like Make a Wish, Holidays with Hunter, Honoring our French Heritage, and Songs About Nothing over the next few years.
